Dear Windyrush Members,
The Windyrush Board of Directors would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! We are now busy preparing for another wonderful year at the club. The winter/spring tennis season has already kicked off, and Hank is busy at the courts already! We are also still working with our contractor and the bank about the next phase of the building project, and we hope to have another update on all of that available at the end of this month.
In preparation for another wonderful summer season at the club, the Board approved hiring Carolinas Pool Management company to run the pool operations in 2012. We would like to ask for everyone’s patience during this transition, and we definitely want to hear your feedback at the end of the summer. We will still be able to recommend our own lifeguards and pool managers, but the company will maintain the pool through the winter months and prepare the pool for the summer. We will also have a great deal more insurance coverage and more in-depth safety training for all of the lifeguards. We spoke with several different pool communities who use Carolinas Pool Management and we received very positive feedback. The Board has been very clear to this company that we have a special community at Windyrush and we would like this to be preserved. Given all of the information that we have and the positive references, we feel that this decision will benefit our membership and improve an already wonderful summer experience!
We will also be working on marketing and membership this spring, so please help with this and tell your friends and neighbors about Windyrush! This is also the time of year for organizing committees, so please contact Phyllis if you would like to get involved with a committee this year. Serving on a committee is a great way to get involved.
