Board Notes

We would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s Annual Membership Meeting and those who voted online for the Board candidates. We are excited to introduce our 2022-2024 Board of Directors: Vice President Philip Prince, Treasurer Sarah Gass, At-Large Socials Caroline Byrnes, At-Large Tennis Ladies Representative Joni Smith, and At-Large Pool/Grounds Mark Wilson! Below and attached is a recap of this year’s meeting.

Club Notes

Yearly renewal invoices were emailed earlier this month. Membership dues may be paid with a credit card through the QuickBooks invoice you received, PayPal link listed below or by mailing a check to Windyrush 6441 Windyrush Road Charlotte, NC 28226.

Full membership dues for 2022 are $920.00 payable by March 1, 2022.

Payments made by January 1 are $870.00 ($50.00 early payment discount). To change your payment amount in QuickBooks, click on Review and Pay, click edit amount and change the payment amount to $870.00.

Payments made after March 1, 2022, will incur a $50.00 late fee.

We offer senior dues if you are age 65 and older and have been a current Windyrush member for 15 plus years. Senior dues for 2022 are $460.00 (50% of the yearly dues).

Tennis membership dues for 2022 are $625.00 payable by March 1, 2022. If you pay your membership fee by January 1, 2022, you will receive a $20.00 discount. To change the payment amount in QuickBooks, click on Review and Pay, click edit amount and change the payment amount $605.00.

If you are not renewing your membership, have questions or did not receive an invoice please email office@windyrush.com as soon as possible so we can contact people on our waiting list. Memberships will automatically be terminated if they are not renewed by March 15, 2022.

Pool Pavilion Rental

If you are interested in renting the pool pavilion for a private event it is available for a fee of $100. Return the attached rental form to office@windyrsh.com. An invoice will be sent for payment once a private party reservation is made along with instructions to access the pavilion.

The pavilion is open for all members on Sundays for Panther football games (unless it is reserved for a private party). Private parties may not be reserved when there is a televised Panther football game. A “Member Host” is responsible for unlocking and locking the pavilion gate. The “Member Host” or private party host will receive a gate lock code by email to unlock and lock the gate once a reservation is made. To be a “Member Host” or to privately rent you will need to reserve the pavilion through your ESoft account. To make a reservation click on the eSoft link eSoft Planner. Instructions for reservations are attached. If you have forgotten your password, click on forgot password and follow the prompts. Signup will be first come first serve. Since the reservation system is a new feature for us there may be a few things we learn along the way. If you have questions or suggestions, please let me know.

Pool pavilion rules:

  • Use is based on first come first serve with a “Member Host.”
  • Members are responsible for trash and cleanup.
  • Members are responsible for any damages.
  • Maximum number of occupants 40
  • Private parties may not be reserved when there is a televised Panther football game.
  • No glass
  • No smoking. This includes all types of smoking devices and vaping.
  • Please supervise children.
  • Upon leaving members are responsible for straightening furniture, turn TVs off, raise TVs turn off lights and turn off fans.
  • Member host will lock the gate.
  • The above rules apply to all member use and private party use.
  • Member host will need to be present for the entire function.
  • Please do not attach anything to lights, fans, posts, TVs, or ceiling.
  • Please return chairs and tables to where you found them if they are moved for any reason.
  • TVs must be off at 10:00pm for all events.

Tennis Pavilion Hours

Tennis pavilion hours are 8:00am-10:00pm. The property gates are unlocked at 8:00am and locked at 10:00pm daily. If you would like to rent the tennis pavilion, please contact the office for pricing.

*Please remember that children need to be supervised at the tennis pavilion if they are age 10 and under. Appropriate tennis attire must be worn on the courts.*

This class is for team players needing to hit a lot of balls in a play format. $20 per class. 4 participants needed for class to run.
Drills are designed to simulate match play, while getting instruction on overall preparation for play.

$20 per class. 4 participants needed for class to run.

Tennis Guests & Guest Fees
Guests must be accompanied by a member. Guest fees are $5.00 per guest. Please leave your guest fee payments in the box on the clay court entrance marked “Guest Fees”.

If you are interested in purchasing a logo hand towel, personalized luggage tag, magnet, captain’s line-up pad, or regular score pad return the attached order from to office@windyrush.com.

Once an order form is received you will be sent a PayPal link for payment or you may pay with cash/check upon pickup. *Quantities are limited on some items.*

Please see below for details.
RULES FOR USE:

  • Ball machine is for member use only.
  • Members pay an annual fee of $20 per household to have access to the machine. Members under age 18 must have adult supervision.
  • How to pay: PAYPAL: CLICK HERE - Cash or check (payable to Windyrush) may be given to our tennis pro or leave in the guest fees box on the fence. Please note "ball machine" with your payment.

  • Users will be held responsible for any damage or loss. Please check the machine carefully before each use. If anything is wrong with the machine or if it is not working properly, please note it on the log and contact office@windyrush.com.
  • Users must reserve the machine in advance and also sign the machine log before each use. (See below about how to reserve the machine online.)
  • Ball machine is to be used on the HARD COURTS only.
  • Users are responsible for cleaning up all balls after use.
  • Users must properly cover, store, and lock up the machine after use. PLEASE PUT THE REMOTE BACK IN THE BAG.
  • Before locking it up, please check to see if the red battery light is on, indicating low battery. If the battery is low, please see instruction form located inside the machine shed and charge it accordingly. Then leave a note on the log that you started the charge. DO NOT CHARGE THE MACHINE UNLESS THE RED LIGHT IS ON.
  • The machine may not be used when league play is in progress on courts 5 or 6. Sharing access to the machine with anyone outside of your household, even with another member, is prohibited. Violation of this rule will forfeit the member’s machine fee/right to use the machine and could result in suspension of membership.
HOW TO RESERVE THE MACHINE:
  • Reserve court #5 or #6 at
  • There is a 90-minute maximum time limit.
