We are looking forward to Open House weekend this Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14. We will have live music on the pool deck opening day featuring Fudd from 2pm-5pm. Please invite your friends and neighbors to visit the club on Saturday or Sunday, we will not be charging guest fees for open house weekend!
As we begin pool season you will notice a few updates on the grounds and at the pool. The first one we are excited about is the overflow parking area bordered by a new split rail fence and gate. The overflow lot will be used as weather permits (dry ground only) for swim meet parking and holidays. Lights will be installed to help navigate this area at night. The overflow parking is a grass covered area that will be opened and monitored by staff and the Board. On the pool side you will see a new section of concrete, each year we plan on replacing several sections of older concrete with new concrete. Expansion joints on the main pool have been repaired along with repairs to the main drain sumps, skimmer pots and cracks in the skimmers to the splash pool. The splash pool features have been painted and the Gaga ball pit has been stained plus netting was installed to prevent the balls from going into the woods! The tennis pavilion has been stained along with some fresh paint on parts of the building. Please let your neighbors know we are still accepting new tennis members.
The pool will be open during the week beginning Monday, May 15 with adjusted hours until CMS is out for the summer. Swim and dive team practice will begin on Monday, May 15. We look forward to cheering on the Dolphin swim and dive team once meets begin. Please view the website to see the most up to date hours and closures due to special events, swim meets and dive meets. On Memorial Day we will offer catered BBQ plus great sides for lunch. Enjoy this time of year on the courts and poolside. We are excited that summer is almost here!
We are in the process of updating our website. Thank you for your patience as we finalize a few items before going live with the new site. Pool hours, special events, and tennis news will be emailed to keep the membership up to date.

The Fam: Jeff, Casey, Stella (11), Ruthie (9), Tripp (6 1/2), Alice (almost 4), plus Coconut and Olive — the hamsters 🙂
Hobby land:
Jeff is all about watching football. Casey is into interior decorating (experimenting in their home), exercising, reading, travel (mostly in her former life, but she still loves to dream about it). Stella loves ballet, violin, choir and reading. Ruthie is into gymnastics, baking and reading. Tripp loves soccer, playing outside, Legos and building anything he can. Alice loves ballet, coloring and playing dress-up.
Life at Windyrush:
They’ve been members for about 10 years, going back to the old baby pool, oh yeah! They love swim team, and with the oldest three having learned to swim well at Windyrush, that means you’re up this summer, Alice. 🙂 They mostly love getting to hang out with friends and family all through the summer at the pool, and the kids mostly love the ice cream at the snack bar. The 4th of July Parade and Fall Festival are favorites, and they’ve loved getting to take some tennis lessons, too. Jeff and Casey have loved to watch the club grow and change over the years.
The Real World:
When not at Windyrush :), you can find Jeff working in Market Risk at Wells Fargo and Casey homeschooling the kids. Outside of work, they love spending time with friends and family (and have the awesome privilege to live one door away from Casey’s brother and sister-in-law and their niece and nephew). They’re involved in our church and love riding bikes through the neighborhood and on the greenway.
Favorite Restaurants:
For a special occasion, they love Barrington’s for its cozy setting and delicious food. They also love the sliders and truffle fries at the Foxcroft Wine Shop. Casey loves Yafo for its chicken shawarma wrap, Brussel sprouts and grain bowls, Paco’s Tacos, and The Summit Room (everything there is wonderful!). Jeff loves King’s Kitchen and Mert’s. The kids love Chick-fil-A and Fuddruckers.
Favorite Vacation Spot:
The honeymoon in Scotland takes the cake for their all-around favorite vacation! They also love going to Wrightsville Beach each summer with extended family and to the North Carolina mountains. And the best family trip was to Disney World!
