Board Notes

It’s hard to believe we are near the end of July. We hope many of you were able to enjoy the largest Adult Social to date. Dave McDonald and Chris Hunt planned a great evening by the pool with Trial By Fire. It was a well-attended fun night! We look forward to the next few upcoming events planned with more Grills and Guitars, live band karaoke and a few more events. Below are a few pictures from Saturday’s Social.

Highlight Dolphin Swim Team

The Windyrush Dolphin swim team  completed a very successful season in Division 1 of the Greater Charlotte Swim League.  After moving up to the highest division after last year’s Division 2 championship, the Dolphins swam to a 3-3 dual meet record then finished a Windyrush best 3rd place in the Division 1 All Star meet held on July 10th in Rock Hill.  Coach Pat and Coach Diane were very pleased with the development of all the swimmers, from the Sea Horses to the Dolphins.  All swimmers improved and contributed to a fantastic season.  Coach Pat would like to give a big shout out to all the coaches who helped all the swimmers reach new heights this year. Thank you Coach Meg, Coach Rachael and Coach Courtney.  Also, Coach Pat would like to give a big thanks to Lilly and Jane Lowry Sorrells for their volunteering efforts with all the swimmers this season.  Coach Diane sends many thanks to Coach Camryn and Coach Cass for their efforts with the Shrimpers and Sea Horses. They are definitely ready to be Dolphins  Finally, a tremendous thanks to all the parents who helped the season run so smoothly over a very hectic two months. Special thanks to team coordinators Renee Pettus, Stephanie Mason, Teresa Hollmeyer and computer wizard and right hand man Jeffrey Childs.

Great job Dolphins!!!

*Please remember guests must be accompanied by a member at the pool. The same guest is permitted to visit once per 7 days*

Pool Hours

Monday-Friday Hours:10am-9pm (with the exception of home meets)
Saturday Hours: 10am-9pm
Sunday Hours: 12pm-8pm
(Hours are subject to change due to weather and special events.)

 

Adjusted pool hours will begin the week of August 28

 

Overflow Parking Area

The overflow parking in the lower grass area will be opened and monitored by staff and the Board. This area will be used for swim meet parking and holidays as weather permits.

 

Pool Guest Passes-$50 for 12 visits

As a convenience you may purchase guest pass cards.

Cards are $50 with 12 punches for your guest’s visits (includes 2 free visits)

Cards may be purchased at the lifeguard desk.

 

Masters Swim Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday 6am-8am

Masters Swim is offered during our regular pool season

Masters Swim is adult lap swim. Free for members. Guests $5.00.

Week Days 11am-8:15pm
Saturdays 11am-8:15pm
Sundays 12pm-7:15pm
(Items sold from 8-8:15pm & 7-7:15pm on Sundays will be ice cream/candy/drinks)

Diner cards may be purchased for $10.These are laminated cards that you may purchase and use for future purchases. Great for your children to use!

Credit card purchases must be $10 or more, cash and checks accepted.

Tyler Sherrill Bicycle Rodeo for Eagle Scout Project

Looking for something to do on a summer Saturday morning before you hit the pool? Come support Windyrush member Tyler Sherrill at his Eagle Scout project on Saturday, August 5th at Pineville United Methodist Church. The event is a bicycle rodeo starting at 10am. Participants will learn bike safety, bike maintenance, skills course, helmet fitting and more! There will be a free raffle for participants to win bikes, helmets, bells, and other gear!  The rodeo is open to elementary aged kids and is free, but you need to sign up at www.tinyurl.com/pinevillebikerodeo

Tennis Pavilion Hours

Tennis pavilion hours are 8:00am-10:00pm. The property gates are unlocked at 8:00am and locked at 10:00pm daily. If you would like to rent the tennis pavilion please contact the office for pricing.

*Please remember that children need to be supervised at the tennis pavilion if they are ages 10 and under. Appropriate tennis attire must be worn on the courts.*
