Board Notes
We’d like to thank everyone who read the Windyrush capital improvement plan, asked smart questions and, of course, voted. The results are in — 81.5% of those who responded voted “Yes” on the assessment ballot with 18.5% rejecting the measure.
So, we are ready to move ahead with two important capital projects – 1) Build a 35-foot by 24-foot pool pavilion.
2) Replace our aging pool slide. Between the $150/family assessment and club cash reserves, we’re proud to move forward and finance these two important projects.
So what’s next …
Pool Pavilion — Construction on the pavilion will begin this week and be completed well ahead of our May 22 pool opening day. It’ll include 3 TVs, 3 ceiling fans, new furniture and many power outlets, too.
Pool Slide — The contract/deposit for the new slide will be signed soon. The old slide will be torn down after the 2021 pool season, and the new slide be installed in October 2021.
Assessments due – With the majority of members voting in favor of the assessment – as explained in the previous newsletter — The Windyrush Bylaws dictate that all full members, including all board members, must pay the approved assessment to maintain membership in the club. That’s $150 per family. (Note: Tennis-only members are exempt from paying this assessment.) Payments are due: April 1.
Payment –An invoice has been sent via QuickBooks for $150.00. (Note: If you’d prefer to pay by check, mail your $150 check to Windyrush, 6441 Windyrush Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226.)

Reminder: Membership dues for 2021 are $870.00 and payable by March 1. Payments made after March 1 will incur a $50.00 late fee. Memberships notrenewed by March 15 will automatically be terminated. Due to our current waiting list, we have a strict deadline. You may pay your membership with PayPal using the link Membership Dues or mail your payment to Windyrush 6441 Windyrush Road.
Senior Dues
We offer a special incentive if you are age 65 and older and have been a current member of Windyrush for 15 plus years. This membership is for single senior long term or senior long term spouses (children may not be included in a senior membership). If you meet this criteria you are eligible to pay 50% of the current yearly dues. Please respond to this email if you qualify for a senior membership. Click on the PayPal link Senior Dues Payment for payment.
Tennis Membership Dues
Membership dues for 2021 are $575.00 and payable by March 1. You may pay with a credit card through the PayPal link Tennis Membership Dues or mail your payment to Windyrush 6441 Windyrush Road.

Swim and Dive News
Head's up: 2021 Swim and Dive Season is just around the corner! Your coaches and reps are excited to get started on this year's team. Both Swim and Dive will have full seasons- complete with dual meets against other clubs and all-star meets. The logistical details are not yet set in stone- much will be dependent on various government guidelines that will continue to improve as we approach summer- but we will be returning to a much more normal season.
Registration will begin April 1 and run through April 30. Registration will be on www.WindyrushDolphins.swimtopia.com . More information will be sent as we get closer to April 1. For now, if you have questions, we will try to answer them as well as we can.

Tennis Pavilion Hours
Tennis pavilion hours are 8:00am-10:00pm. The property gates are unlocked at 8:00am and locked at 10:00pm daily. If you would like to rent the tennis pavilion please contact the office for pricing.
*Please remember that children need to be supervised at the tennis pavilion if they are ages 10 and under. Appropriate tennis attire must be worn on the courts.*

Trimp Tennis Summer Camps have been going strong for 15+ years with an exciting mix of tennis, swimming and other sports. We focus on FUN, FRIENDS and FUNDAMENTALS.
HALF DAY CAMP
8:30am-11:30am-Tennis Only
$150 Half Day camps
FULL DAY CAMP
8:30am-3:00pm
$225 Full Day camps
Activities include: tennis, swimming, and adventure games.
NEW COVID-19 Regulations – Camp Ages: 7-12 yrs. (need to keep social distancing)
Non-Member fees: $5/day
**Must have at least 4 kids enrolled in camp to run the session.**
Individual Day(s) Camp Enrollment – Please enroll and indicate what day you will attend. Half Day drop in $40/day. Full Day drop in $60/day.

Interested in using the ball machine fee?
| Below are the terms and conditions for use. RULES FOR USE: Ball machine is for member use only. Members pay an annual fee of $20 per household to have access to the machine. Members under age 18 must have adult supervision. How to pay: PAYPAL: CLICK HERE Cash or check (payable to Windyrush) may be given to our tennis pro or leave in the guest fees box on the fence. Please note “ball machine” with your payment. Users will be held responsible for any damage or loss. Please check the machine carefully before each use. If anything is wrong with the machine or if it is not working properly, please note it on the log and contact[email protected] . Users must reserve the machine in advance and also sign the machine log before each use. (See below about how to reserve the machine online.) Ball machine is to be used on the HARD COURTS only. Users are responsible for cleaning up all balls after use. Users must properly cover, store, and lock up the machine after use. PLEASE PUT THE REMOTE BACK IN THE BAG. Before locking it up, please check to see if the red battery light is on, indicating low battery. If the battery is low, please see instruction form located inside the machine shed and charge it accordingly. Then leave a note on the log that you started the charge. DO NOT CHARGE THE MACHINE UNLESS THE RED LIGHT IS ON. The machine may not be used when league play is in progress on courts 5 or 6. Sharing access to the machine with anyone outside of your household, even with another member, is prohibited. Violation of this rule will forfeit the member’s machine fee/right to use the machine and could result in suspension of membership. HOW TO RESERVE THE MACHINE: Reserve court #5 or #6 at There is a 90-minute maximum time limit. |

Run an ad in the newsletter for $25.00 per month or have a banner displayed on the tennis fence for $50.00 per month or advertise for several months. Advance payment for 5 months will include one month free, get 6 months for the cost of 5 months. Advanced payment for 9 months will include three months free, get 12 months for the cost of 9.
